KNIFE MADE FROM SPOON FOUND ON JAIL PRISONER
November 16,1951
A hand-made weapon fashioned by rubbing down a stainless stell spoon to a sharp oint turned up in the county jail. Chief Jailerj Ed Cooper reported yesterday.

He said it was found in a routine shakedown of William F. Lucas, awaiting trial on a charge of having narcotics in his possesion. Lucas claimed he "got it in the tank where it was lying on the floor".

The prisoner was arrainged yesterday on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon,a misdemeanor, and given unitl Nov. 19 to plea.
