David O. Daily was taken to be with the Lord on November 4,2003. Born in Butte,Montana, on March 15,1937, he spent his childhood and teenage years in Vancouver,Washington. As young man, Mr. Daily moved to the High Desert where he met his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth. Together they raised 6 wonderful children.

Mr. Daily was a self-made man. He owned and operated Daily Transit Mix for nearly 40 years. He was an extraordinary generous man, whose monies, often given anonymously, were spread throughout the High Desert. In addition he gave free of charge concrete to churches and service organizations. His philanthropic spririt benefited the community for years.

Mr. Daily so strongly believed in the property rights of each individual that he fought for 10 years to preserve his and other' water rights. He sbsequently won a ruling by the California State Supreme Court which made national headlines from New York to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Mr. Daily is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Robin Daily,Becca Haremeier and her husband, Michael A. Hartmeier, Rhandena Daily,Dr. Mary Misischia and her husband, Dr. Richard Misischia, Patty Daily and son, Dr. David Daily II, He was blessed with six beautiful grandchildren, David Daily,Eden and John Robert Hartmeier and Richard and Samatha Misischia. He also has two loving sisters, Darlene Hinkle and Ruthie Daily, both residing in the state of Washington.

Visitation will be Friday (today) from 6 pm to 8 pm at Victor Valley Mortuary on 11th Street

The funeral will be Saturday,November 8, at 2 pm. at Victor Valley Mortuary,Father Charles Yost S.J. will officiate Burial will follow at Victor Valley Memorial Park.
