BULLET VICTIM MAY LOOSE LEG

Bloomington Man's GUN FIRED ACCIDENTALLY Howard Partain 26, of Bloomington who accidentally shot himself above the left knee severing a main artery, may lose his leg as the result of the bullet wound,attendants at the Southern Permanete hospital in Fontana said yesterday. A friend of the injured man Neal Rogers, told Sheriff James W. Stocker's officers that he was with Partain early Sunday morning in a Bloomington cafe when Partain got into an argument with the restaurant owner. He went out to his car and as he started back into the cafe with the gun, the automatice pistol of Spanish make accidentally discharged. Deptuiessaid Partain nearly bled to deathfrom the bullet wound as he was being rushed to the hospital.
